Maculation's Pernicious Insolvency

Defiled.
Debased.

Amphetamine fulgent, or comatoid in
Lethe's lumpy arms,
the universe ticks on, dispassionate,
unfluctuating.

You can't be debased except through
active participation,
witting or no, and/but you

can always come back.

  1. Interesting chemistry references. I don't quite see what you can always come back means, though. Reincarnation? Recuperation? It feels unclear to me, but still, interesting.

  2. a great deal of pain and corrosion of dreams has its roots in trying to do the right thing and clinging to it long after it's been revealed to be wrong; the universe has no center from which it's watching you; it is, no matter how we try to speed it up or slow it down. thresholds. . . .thresholds. . . .breaking with the past and closing the door. . . .if they weren't naturally-occuring in our bodies, serotonin, adrenalin, and dopamine would all be controlled substances since they radically distort human perceptions. . . .doors. . . .mirrors. . . .smoke. . . .fires. . . .flames. . . .windows. . . .
