Underneath the gloomy gray
they bragged of fenced-in
Edens perpetually sunny
before they massacred our
innocent TVs and demanded
mercury funeral money while
cartoon executives laughed
hilariously at marionette
jokes not the least bit
funny, and so we
killed 'em all.

  1. Ah, yes those glorious Edens and Greek Utopia Nowhere-places. They haunt the wicked plains of humanity far and wide and I see not even TV has been spared the perfect absurdity of perfection. I think they deserved their fate, those fiction-peddlers. Still, death is never a cause for celebration. I love how you put it: underneath the gloomy gray. One pictures the sheer paradox of street priests propagating religious propaganda, speaking of the Heavenly blue Eden while the gray cloudy sky looms above like a stupendoius block of reality-hard concrete.

  3. Ahaha! They demanded "funeral money." That's definitely one way of talking about disposing your analog tv. :P
