Indeed. You'd think mankind would learn from its mistakes. You'd think that wars would cease to be. Alas, it is not so, and the circle continues.
ReplyDeleteBloody against your castle walls. Sort of reminded me of the chivalric romances, romance of the rose etc. The knight knows he is unworthy of the lady, cannot consume his love because of his lower status but yet- he tries and tries in vicious circle.
ReplyDeletemaybe the lady lacks the insight to lower the drawbridge.
